Google is providing free cloud facility worth $20,000 to these 36 Start Ups companies. Similarly, it will be providing free cloud facility worth $3000 to the remaining 3822 Start Up ideas from the state.
Under the 1st phase of the “Start-up Chhattisgarh Grand Challenge” program boot camps were conducted across all 27 districts of the State. The boot camps were used as a platform for youth and entrepreneurs to submit their ideas and the best out of them were selected in the first phase for incubation.
A total of 3,858 ideas were submitted out of which 36 have been selected by the screening committee formed under the Department of Commerce & Industry. Chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh felicitated 36 Start-ups during the event. Chief Minister also personally interacted with the Start-ups at their stalls during the exhibit. The Start-ups showcased their product, technology and services during the event.
Chhattisgarh Government has been a flag bearer in implementing programs and schemes to reach the growing population of the State, through various verticals i.e. Skill Development, Digital India (Bastar Net, Digital Payments), and Entrepreneurship promotion (Startup India and Stand-up India).
With the launch of Start-up India program by PM, States were to prepare their action plan and Start implementing the same. In line with the Start-up India Action plan, the Chhattisgarh Government launched Start-up Chhattisgarh Action Plan for promoting start-ups in the State, which was released by Chief Minister Raman Singh last year along with the roll-out of the Start-up Chhattisgarh Program.
